They calculated a load of factory cars using the same method and its pretty damn accurate! Obviously give or take 1/2 a second sometimes for gears etc.. but its pretty much bang on.. i have tried a few cars that are in the family and they are dead accuarate too... check the link..!

no it was 2 or 3 seconds out for the 0-100 time for the punto GT
