Or sell your other car and have a free Cosworth to drive around in...
Sounds like a better plan to me...as these cars dont depreciate much if at all anymore...probably worth more than it is now in say 5 years time!!!

He's gonna be picking his bollocks and teeth off the floor with a pair of broken arms when the genuine owner of the car catches up with him.
Posting the whole story on a massively popular Ford internet forum probably wasn't the best day's work he ever did - not if he wants to keep his legs intact and keep the whole thing hush hush.
The real owner of the Escort must surely be either dead, in prison, in hiding, or on a witness protection plan.
I mean - people just don't leave rare, valuable and desirable performance cars laying around like so much scrap for any Tom, Dick or Harry to claim as his own.
If i'd pulled off a scam like that, I would keep it to my bloody self, I wouldn't tell anyone, not a bleedin' soul, and I certainly wouldn't go broadcasting it on sodding PassionFord.
I'd change the registration number, and tell anyone that asked that i'd taken out a loan and bought it from the other end of the country.
The bloke must have a deathwish.
It's all rather isn't it.

I reckon quite possibly it was nicked or the driving was uninsured or something?
They had the accident - legged it from the scene.
if nicked - the actual owner may of reported it stolen but it was never found by the police (maybe completely different area of the country)

fair play to the bloke, it seems wrong though, doesn't it??
getting a private plate would be my main concern, what if the owner was to see it after all this time??
