make sure that you book into gilligans backpackers in cairns.

Its $28 a night, clean and lovely hostel with a lush pool, its more like a hotel.

Also the gilligans bar is good at night, try soho for a club night also mad cow, paddy shenanigans.
But if you want a large piss up with all types of people then the woolshed is the place.
Plenty of cheap beer and easy women!!

i rmember mad cow i was unconcious hanging over the balcny on the time, and dribbled on some band playing that night

Well the rain is now out in the Tazman Sea, so at least its not going to flood anymore! around 4000 people were evacuated last night from a place called Lismore, and according to the news, 600 are now homeless affter their houses washed away.
Lismore itself received around 500mm of rain in one night. thats half a metre

i wouldnt go that far mate. not noticing anything out of the ordinary really. these things happen from time to time. these rains were a once in a 100 year thing.
