I believe, this isn't the true power... the fuse ratings give an approximate amount to tell you how much the amp can power, having a bigger fuse ratings identifies that it can product more power so basically shit splx amps n stuff like that only have like 10amp fuse ratings showing their potential (which is fuck all lol).....

You don't need to tell people it operates at 2ohms or 4ohms, just tell them it's dual 4ohm. I'm sure people will understand that

You said you think you need something around 500w RMS, and 800w MAX. Don't ever say stuff about MAX figures, they mean absolutely fcuk all and have no relevance to ICE. As for the 500w RMS, you will need this to get the moving, but having any amount of power above this is a bonus. As many people have told you, overpowering the subs is much better than underpowering the subs. So some of the amps suggested (whether they be 550W RMS @ 2ohms, 600w RMS @ 2ohms), they'll power the sub nicely! Don't be scared if they over power it, just don't be chav with the 'gain' setting and don't put it too loud. A good and basic way to set the gain is to increase it until the sub starts distorting or it doesn't go any louder, when this happens, turn the gain down a bit. The gain is not a volume!

Also, why did you say think an alpine one would be good for the choice? Sure they have some decent amps, but just because they're a big brand new, doesn't mean they're the best. The are loads of brands out there that will be good for your setup.

You also said that you want the setup to be seriously loud.

If you want it seriously loud, it doesn't all depend on the amp. Get a custom made ported box, tuned to a low frequency which will make the sub sound nice and low. This will give you good 'streetbass' and I'm sure you will more than happy with the sound of this!!!
