It's probably just an adapted engine that has been custom made I suppose with different parts?

i had a vid of that on the test bed, and im pretty sure thats ford, not english obviously, yank or aussie

vtec is something to do with the way the engine works at a certain revs but I dont know how it works etc.


GSI stands for Grand Sport Injection

They are very rarely 'just' a tag, they usually mean something

Didn't know that. Does gti stand for the same sort of thing and what about dti?

Certainly not a Holden, there are no straight 6's and havent been one in a holden for a very very long time.
looks very similar to the Ford Falcon straight 6 Turbo,

oh and BTW, that is the latest cam cover from the BA mk2, the one originally posted is an older straight 6, but it sure does look like a ford lump

Bit ot but that Manta was in Denmark last weekend at a big car show! Did a couple of nice 10 sek runs down the 1/4mile and the sound of the turbo+supercharger engine was bloody amazing!

Just felt like sharing the experience!
