^not unless he had a massive spout of growth - which is highly unliekly. The skin and tattoo will accomidate for very slight increases in muscle growth

yeah basically, if you got a weight you find easy, and did about 3 times more reps as to what you would do with a heavy weight, thats what gets you definition. If you gym has it, use all the different machines if poss because for example the shoulders have three (i think) different muscles you can work on. its not just one big one

when did i say anything against his exercises. Machines are plain shist anyway because your are restricted in how much movement your allowed in the exercise which means your not recruiting as much muscle fibres as you could be if you used freeweights. Freeweights also teach you to "support" the weight throughout the reps.

problem is with these kinds of threads is that too much mis-information flys about and gets mixed up with the stuff you need to know.

whatever exercise you do you must get to a point where your muscle can't cope (should experience a kind of trembling and usually find yourself cheating in some way to do the last rep) this is cruicial as it is the point where you are overloading the muscle which is a principal of training. The muscles need to be pushed harder than they expect, then they grow to incorporate the need for more strength/ muscle endurance.

If you are wanting to gain strength then this should happen with weights that you get to about 6 reps and that is. For toning i'd say aim for a 15 Rep maximum.

if you go to the gym, thinking yeah i'm going to go some toning exercises, put on a small weight and knock 20 out easy as piss its going to do nothing basically.

If this is wrong could someone correct me, as this is what I have learnt and i know what its like when you think you know what your on about to be told you don't!

if your looking to add lean muscle mass lift heavy, i.e. try 15 kg on a curling bar for biceps, do 3 sets of ten and see how it feels.
diet is very important too, increase protein intake for a better recovery.
