My mate is 23 owns a Audi S3, My other mate owns a Audit TT 1.8T and another one has a R32 Skyline GTR V-spec (modded) and they all live in my street and we are all around the same age mate with Skyline is only 20 and was gettin quotes for around £2900 when he was 19!! Skyline is mostly garaged so i wonder if his insurance was brought down by amount of miles he ACTUALLY does??
oh and my mate with the Skyline only earns £8k a year as an apprentice and he pays for the insurance but the Car he got as a Birthday present from his Dad... He's not a rich kid that sponges off his folks He's worked to keep that car so it is possible

Was Just an example mate, Was just saying that even round here it can be done Cant believe the fucker got one and has managed to keep it for over a year
The Skyline only comes out in the Summer, so he really does only a few k each year.. also he said when he went to reinsure it the insurance company wanted his last 2 MOT slips and they were going to send an Inspector round to check the Mileage???
Maybe this is how he can Afford it I'm not saying your questioning it mate Just saying about it.. as it may help!

Is it sensible to think I could insure a 1.4 16V Tigra at 18 (1 years NCB, license for 6 months, good postcode)?

was 19 when i got insured on the RX @ £2200 (group 20)
then my 2nd year i was 20 and it went down to £1300 ,
So now im 21 it should go below 1K hopefully , allthough they wont insure me on a Scoob
They said the Scoob has the highest crash / theft rate thats cus there soooooooo common
Allthough a 98 Elise S1 is cheaper to insure than the RX
