At least you did something to cause a leak. My bath sprung a leak twice without it even being used (was at the parents) And no i have no insurance Need to sort something out really but super skint.

Plastic pipe is actually better, there's less chance of a joint breaking, you can guarantee it is not going to leak and there is less chance of frost damage, not too mention how much quicker it is to fit. Pretty much all new houses use it now, only exposed pipework is copper.

Ur correct up to a point, ur forgetting this is copper to plastic, which isnt quite as good and you'll never be able to guarantee something wont leak.
