On a serious note
My girlfriends dad doenst like me, but two years on it doesnt bother me
He gets his wise cracks from saying stuff about my car/football team etc but I just laugh it off then stare at him

You are too young to be getting yourself in a mess over it. Leave it be for a week or so, and if things still are shit then go and speak to him, and ask him why he doesnt approve.
It may be that he doesnt know you well enough, dont move in together you are too young. Living together is completely different to actually being together and living seperatly ... trust me I've lived with my boyfriend for well over a year now and its been quite hard.

I dont blame him if you had a messy break up before. He's probably seen her get upset over you once already and doesn't want it to happen again.

if you don't mind me asking, why is it he doesn't like you? Did you to something in your previous relationship with her to piss him off or something?

it was worse than that but we went through a BAD stage its all sorted now and we're more loved up than ever, if anything its made us closer
its really long story what happened, and no i cant forgive and forget that easily, but we're past it all now. also he knows that if he lays a finger on me now, my dad wil butcher him

The dad has a right to be annoyed at his daughter being back with you if it was messy and he helped her when you last broke up. He also needs to understand it's her life, and maybe step back a bit if he doesn't then put him straight but you are only 17 and maybe he doesn't realise that you care about her as much as you've said
