Its interesting,

work looks good from the pics, and all credit for going mad with a C, - No one has really done that in the UK. IMO you would of been wayyy better at doing pimpmyride UK than carisma...

Anyhow..

the only thing that has always worried me about Midas is you spraying in just a room, not an oven with extraction facilities... Theres even cars in the background?

I dont know much about bodywork, however most places I have been to, including the one who does my car always use that when painting the car...

Do you guys have one or is it not really needed so long as you have a "clean" room

Also there are no real pics from going from the standard width to the wide rear quater etc,

How did you go about doing that? Is it a kit from another car you have modded to fit? Really is impressive, lots of work there..

Not sure if I'd have chosen two metallic colours or two base colours instead of one of each.

How about another line of blue down the middle of the yellow so its not such a slab?

The cars in the backroom are our own work in progress' and sh1tters , the room is seperated from the bodywork room and has a huge extractor in it, the room is cleaned up and the floors wetted down before paintwork starts, we also have a mainline gas heater to warm the room up before, however you cant bake cars like these because fibreglass expands and contracts with the heat, so only u need a ventilated room. At the end of the day it all comes down to the quality of your painter, we've painted matt colours (which CANT be flatted and polished) in that room with no probs whatsoever. Everyone goes on about their multi thousand pound ovens but if you've got a sh1t painter its all a waste of money!

Either that or a kinda thin "go faster" stripe just below where the top of the yellow starts in the blue...

I think that would break it up a little...

Thing is they really are two contrasting colours... Very hard to make the tie into each other imo..

i saw the car saturday at HIN i didnt notice the boot to be honest (not sure if it was even open)the style of the yellow lets the paint down the front sat way to high off the ground at the show but the wheels looked HUGE, the door is very trick

overall i think its good but with tweeking it could look so much better i didnt leave the show on sat thinking "man that corsa was nice" sorry, but as i say i dont think it would take much too look alot better

The rear quarters are genuine vauxhall panels that have been cut and extended and reshaped, this car has been sworn at by the guys in the workshop more times than they have swore at me for getting them these jobs

I personally like the yellow but never really liked the blue, we were going for a flat black with the yellow stripe but the customer decided to go for blue at the last minute. The 2 colours are too bright for each other. Im still undecided but it is growing on me when you see it in the flesh.

great ideas, good show car but the colours are all wrong as 90% of people have said. If you have one off body work don't go mad on the paint as people only remember the paint.

IE the blue and yellow corsa C, nothing about the 20's, or the doors, or the arches.

I would paint it different as its not really a great advert for your business.

Fronts too high
Don't like that yellow
20's look surprisingly good but does look a bit high (expected thugh)

IT's different and i think with a better paint job, it would be a bit of a bigger hit with people. Differnt though so credit for that.
