You can't jump on the environmental highground unless you live off the land and never consume anything of the Western world...

In the UK, cigarette butts account for around 40 % of litter, in the rest of the World, they account for around 50 percent of all litter.

Id rather the children of the world not having to live in the filth that a lot of us witness everyday to be honest. Its a statement of concern for the world we live in..

What else would pigeons have to do except pick up fag ends and try and eat them? They'd get bored

No its not up to me, people should be aware of the consquences of their actions though. It could be considered selfish how people have such disregard for the places they live.
As for making an issue of it on here, i hardly think some of the statements ive read on here are exactly hard line seriousness.

A lot of them end up in the drainage and in bushes and stuff. They dont exactly have big signs attached to them saying "Im here, Im here!!"

Because the ash tray is on the left and the cigarette is usually in my right hand where the window is open to flick the ash out. It's quicker and safer to just throw it out the window.

Ok, so its quicker and safer for you, but again, what about for everyone else that has to put up with your dock ends?
