big snakes don't poison.
they crush and suffocate their prey first.
oh yeah, they're normally still alive. hence the reason they eat head first to make sure they suffocate.

On that amazon abyss thing the other week, a brazlian guy had an "encounter" with an Anaconda, he reckons it snapped his shin where it bit him, but he managed to hang onto a tree, so didn't get drowned, he said he was holding on for 4 hours
