UUummm you dont have to be some music artist to sniff cocaine and shoot some one.

i gota say, i am a fan of 50, got all his previous albums, his mixtapes etc. people who go on about them trying to be gangster, uve gota realise, these guys ARE the gangsters, 50 has been a street hustler all his life, and i doubt itl change.
these people are brought up in high violence areas plagued by drugs and crime, the only way things get sorted is to kill someone, if uve been brought up like that, then i doubt u can change.
ive been into hip hop/rap for years, i know about the beatnuts to cypress hill, skinny man to fat joe
50 has talent, dont see how u can say otherwise. ok, so maybe his last album is what made him famous, but all his previous underground stuff is just as good. get rich or die trying was made huge coz Dre was behind the beats, and took care of most of 50s sales etc.
its a bit scary 50 saying hel drop out of Interscope over this thought, in an interview he said his only worry is that he mau not fit in with Dre and Eminem, if he leaves them, hes got himself into alot of trouble. Theyl b no1 in the industry behind him
been listening to the Massacre for a week now in my car, and ive gota admit, the album is very good. people commented on the beats behind it being poor and repetative, which songs arent? they all follow a pattern to back the vocals, chorus's etc etc.
jus like to say that i dont see all this beef in the rap industry being made up publicised shite, people get killed over things like this, after all, most the people in the game have come from crime related backgrounds, if some1 disses them, theyve gota get back, if they cant, theyl shoot them, simple

Yes 50 Cent can rap & write lyrics but there not that good.
Does my head in all these rappers now days who only sing about "bouncing on down to clubs in hummers & then fooking bitches in motels " etc. Yes, we know your rich. Now please stop gloating about it & write some decent material you fucking chumps
Go listen to Nas' first album Illmatic & you'll soon see the differance between being a talented lyricist (sp) & being a talented rapper
That album was written over 10 years ago. Shows how downhill some people can go

i never said 50 was a great lyricist, as matt said, that obviosuly falls to Nas, as he has a completely unique flow, if u listen to him ul notice that hardly any of his lines rhyme, but it all flows together.
and robbo - the album isnt that bad mate, u jus gota listen to it properly.......

Its just pop music, i.e busted are "rock" for kids and idots.
50 cent is hip hop for schott wearing little punks and people who cant see its just a machine to make money? absoloutely nothing to do with music. Its just marketing marketing marketing.
I doubt even "fiddy" himself is even aware of that.
It also amuses me HIGHLY that so much of america is so prejudice and biggoted that they hate black people, yet the no#1 most popular music in america is RnB/hip hop
He maybe a rapper, but hes not an artist.

50 is not impressive at all if you ask me... theres so many better rappers. I name three of this "generation":
Nas
Fabolous (ignore his rnb shite and get hold of some of his freestyles/older albums)
K-Os
If you want older stuff try:
Jeru the Damaja
Jurassic 5
MOP
this stuff is real hip-hop (last three), they all show different sides but they are all good hiphop from guys who don't claim to be "hood" because they once went out and popped a nine, homie

Def Jux is the best Hip Hop label about imo The likes of Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock & MR Lif now these are proper lyricists.
Also the UK scene doesn't get the recognition it deserves. lots UK MC's piss all over there US counterparts Roots Maunva, Ty, Phi-Life Cypher Task Force etc.
50 Cent and The Game what a joke they are
