I've tried the red stuff before which is slightly weaker then the black stuff (80 odd %) which i have also tried! This girl i know when she drinks the stuff she gets mad Illusions!

we do work for a guy who is the main importer of absinthe to the UK, just built him a £3million house, and he has an absinthe bus

I love the stuff!
Ive got 3 bottles at home - 1 black, 1 red, 1 green. I like the black best - licquoricey.
Always remember doing doubles of it in Sheffield and my mate downed one and instantly threw back up out of his nose
Another strong one to try is PPY - Polish Pure Yellow! Stronger than a lot of Absinthes at about 84% proof. Found this in one bar ever and used to get it every night out - then they banned it

The Alcohol content is not what makes a good absinth and there are many that are 70% plus. What you have to look for is the woodworm content (artermisia absinthium) which gives absinth it's psychoactive properties. A good one for this is the Sebor which is 50% proof but has more woodworm/100ml than most brands.

I had it on the day we got our GCSE results along with everything else they sold at the pub, apparently i was feeling my way along the walls lol, knocked down several tables, i remember only been able to see black, and deciding whether it was quicker to be sick outside or in the toilets and then instea was sick on my friends shoes

Drank almost a whole bottle in one night with a couple of mates, we just heated up a spoonful of sugar and stirred it in then knocked the stuff back.

i think the strongest (Legal) thing you can get in the UK is Polish Pure @ 89.9%
90% is the strongest an Absinthe can get (i heard)
shop in London (Jerrys) does about 15 different ones.. Including red, black etc etc... Their strongest is 89.9%
have a bottle of La Fee in the fridge at the mo.. 1800ed had a 70% jobbie with him at Maxlive...

Quite apart from the high alcohol content, traditionally 68% abv, absinthe contains the herb 'wormwood' (Artemisia absinthium). This bitter herb contains a chemical called thujone, which is very similar to the active chemical in cannabis, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Analysis by scientists in the 1960s & 70s shows that this similarity is not a coincidence.

went to a bar for a 6th form thing a few years ago now, they were selling it for £2ish a shot and asking everyone when they went up to the bar if they wanted something stronger and trying to force it upon people. I was doing the whole, lighting it, hand on top, breathe out, down it, breathe in through the hand thing. i was v ill that night, i dont think i could have been sick any more havent had it since!

the bloke i know gets it brewed to his own recipe and imports it, think he might own La Fee, check his website, he takes the bus to all the big events
