not always - in theory it should be, but alot of cheap manufactures bodge it to get similar figures etc etc
Thats why a decent ADI/Iiyama/NEC/LG screens in the 19", will set you back about 400 quid still

I just have a 19inch Samsung CRT because I prefer CRTs to TFTs. I've got a desk that's plenty big enough, so space isn't an issue.

IMO if you want a decent 17" TFT you have to pay around the 350 mark.
