Have you got a credit card on 0% finance as you could buy a shitter using your card or get your car fixed using a cc or loan.
It seems mad your quitting your job over a car.
Or go on a train with a pedal bike and cycle a bit of the way.

Yes get an Egg credit card with 9mnths 0% APR and go round the dealers see what trade ins they have for little £££ to get you back on the road!

I have to start work at 6:45 ... first train in the morning will get me into Edinburgh at 7:30 and it would be a 30 minute bike ride
