What? My dads Escort GTi was the same speed as a 206 GTi that I raced down the slip road onto the M4 on the way the to pick the rents up from Bristol, nothing in it.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but a 206 GTi would beat a 1.6 16v Corsa would it not?

They are the same speed as the Astra 1.8 16v 125bhp, I don't know where you guys get the idea that they are slow and don't handle?

Have you actually ever driven one? Probably not.

I seriously would contemplate buying one as a second car even though they are Ford I like them that much.

mate used to have an Si, he smashed it up. Was fairly pokey, not amazing, but gave quite a few ERST's a good run for thier money!

I had N reg 1.6 16V Zetec SI.

It was crap and I hated everything about it. Had to cain it to accelerate.

My 1.4 16V Sport was nippier and quicker.

dads got a 1.816v ghia escort on k plate he uses to go work in n i wudnt say its 'slow' we beat a puma i know they 1.7 but we had 4 ppl in it. its shit tho but does the job
