i wouldnt recommned a saxo. insurance is cheap as fuck but the car is crap. i have an 02 reg and 2moro it is getting a service done as my cv joints and bearing have fucked up, somehting to do with the clutch (some sort of plate) is making the worst sound ever and apparantly happens to most french cars. and the bodywork is so cheap, every panel seems to have a dent on it.

id pay a bit more and insure a corsa gsi to be honest :

I think the SAXO is a good buy if you dont rag them to fcuk! I went through 2 gearbox's in 18mths... Also there is so many about you can haggle hard! They handle like a beast compared to a corsa...


I wud get another but gotta be a VTS

ye thats another thing, my gearbox is not the best. but saying that i have cut the gear stick half way down and i change gears very harsh.

im not saying theyre crap cars, its jst that many things will go wrong. and whatever u do, dnt buy the mk1 vtr!

i was talking about the speed, 10bhp is a big difference. and yes, the interior is wank, but its also wank inside of a mk2.

My mates had one for 5 years now - its never let him down I think there a no bad 1st car IMO
