AFAIK you need a license from your local town/district council to do any kind of raffle/lottery. However this insn't necessarily a bad thing as it would should you were legitimate.....
Also if the lottery/raffle brings in over £20,000 ( ) then you need a license from the Gaming Board.

Ask on www.passionford.com, they did one, and it was all legal....
In the end not enough interest, so it got dropped, but quite a bit of prep had to go into it.

it was done with 20 brand new bentleys. it was a worldwide raffle, £50 each ticket i never heard of what the outcome was though. this was about 3 years ago
