We have flags and furniture for shows which we officially endorse.
The big problem with shows is that people end up dropping out, whoever payed upfront for the tickets loses money and we look stupid.
We half agreed at the end of show season this year to limit the number which we attend, and to make sure that small number get a good showing.
As we've showed at Donny South in the past I'd certainly like to do it again, but this must must must be done officially, and in enough time, and with enough commitment.

Well if anyone whos defo interested can u2u me and if i get enough feedback on this, i can organise it properly. If there isnt enough interest then we'll just forget it, but its a shame that other clubs like saxo sports, clio sport, even people like zeebeast etc have better stands than us.

Indeed - I do feel we can have great stands as we are busier SSC and Clio Sport.
There's no question that it needs doing properly and if you're prepared to take than on then top work, thanks

im at max tomorrow only this time, they wanted some ridiculous money for stands so cant be bothered, just going to chat to couple of suppliers, have a few beers with a few peeps and hand out a handful of flyers or so. Easy day

wernt they asking for rediculous money at max live aswell?? If i still have the corsa at the time then id be there..

i'd be up for it if i keep my car but it wont be nethin special very subtle but with big interior mods ( somethin about astra gsi dash, calibra leather and a full fusion install

the main Donny shwo stand was okay - but a bit of a let down - in that we had nothing to make us out as a club - no graphics, banners, flags etc - numberplates
every1 just thought we were part of either pvcc or Total Vauxhall
definately would be good to have a more identifiable stand at future events - the flags are a good start - as was the banenr at Donny south 03
but a bit more of a club feel - maybe numberplates/window graphics/ teeshirts - would make a big difference

We have flags and banners and plenty of money to buy other things.
The issue is not buying the things. The issue is that stands tend to be sorted out informally, then I get an email the Wednesday before the show asking if I can post a big heavy package before the weekend.
If they're organised, great stuff. If they're thrown together and people drop out anyway, I'd rather no presence at all.
I'd like to be positive about 2005, but its a big job. Make no mistake!

Donny South is just a no no 
Donny North is good, more of a wkd to it 
But as Ian says we either do not have the good cars any more or the people willing to attend

i was disapointed in the lack of club banners etc at donny show, let the stand down, and there was no one there to organise it, i was asked 3days before hand to do it!
