fto's are pathetically slow for wot they are, all show and no go (this obviously only applies to standard models) i dare say fettled examples could well be quick!

It was almost certainly a V6 manual. Sounded 6 cylinder and he was limiting it - auto wouldn't do that surely?

its just like the time i left a TVR in the rain (awaits abuse)

all ya could hear was him revving and lifting off trying to get traction in a lightweight car with a lot of power, where as my 4wd just gripped and left

yes i know u were both fwd where as i was 4wd v rwd before anyone points that out

ian the guy cant drive it if he was hiting the limiter as it goes slower that way need to go find a fto driver that can change gears at the right time

Ian you should have a advantage in torque over the FTO, it might be 200bhp but due to the capacity the torque isnt all that for a 6 cylinder.

re: traction I would have thought hed have better traction seeing as yours is a turbo. A fiesta Zetec-s would do me in the wet over 200lb/ft torque through front wheels is not good
