i love my Gsi, great little car, been through a lot in it, it needs a full rebuild at the moment and doesnt pull half as hard as it used to when i first got it!
but throw a little money at it and it will be a rapid little car!!! you can easliy tune it upto 140/150BHP with out spending a fortune

those figures are crud, my Sport 1.6 did 0-60 in 8.7, and thats with the X16XE 106bhp engine. The C16XE GSi is quicker still, and is considerably faster than ANY VTR, as is the Sport.

would also like to point out that the 1.6 Corsa's have stunning mid-range pull, so on the roll from 30 right up to 90 in 3rd, its rather tasty, so much so that i could easily keep up with an ST170/VTS in that speed range, after that the corsa loses its guts quite rapidly

yeah i noticed the best powerband in mine is from around 3800rpm!
done 170miles so far on half a tank, so not too bad either!
however, some pikey shite nicked the jacking points while I was in Liverpool when I parked up near the citycenter

my power band is 5000rpm onwards, its a bitch to drive, takes a while to get up to steam, but even with my 17's i can do a 0-60 in 8 dead, bit better with no ice
cos of my rev limit i can pull over 60 in second hehe, which is good for 0-60

Not sure what to do engine-wise to it, really want to keep it as standard as pos, wheels, etc... and with the engine being new, I dont really wana ruin it...
Just gona do a bit of ICE & change the repeaters for white ones soon

I should be getting my GSi in 3 weeks or so, just gotta sell my SRi first. I'm not planning to do much to it either, i think they have a nice kit on them. Still have no real idea how quick they are as i've never been in one!

Are you planning on stacking it along the IDR and causing massive tailbacks?
