Kits etc?

A decent standard 95 TT can be had for about 9k now.... Mileage isnt an issue if the car has been looked after.

Also, dont rule out an auot untill you have driven it.... its sooo much better than a std slush box.

Hi mate

Looking to spend £10 - £15k
Engine wise the more standard the better... less to go wrong plus insurance is a factor. I'd probably just get a decent zorst etc.
I want the veilside kit - where would be the best place to buy/fit it?

If i was going to buy standard.... Id budget 9-10k for a decent 95 TT....

Why not buy one with the kit..... get it imported, or just search for one over here... There pretty common

I sold my 94 for 12.5 or so.... bought it for 12k about 3yrs ago now...

Avoid JIC - they will rip you off. Have a scan through private sales etc... if they have document history etc.... and are boosting within reason not much can go wrong.

A UK spec will be worth paying more for....

Larger steel turbos
Bigger brakes
Bonnet vent for cly 3/4 (where mine went )

They arent faster tho... but have 320bhp as std.... J0Spec have around 300 standard.

Things to watch with J-spec -

Ceramic twins will prob fall to bits above 18psi.....
ECU with std injectors, reg will start to run lean at 18psi

You need to buy a boost-cut defencor to get above 14psi...

A downpipe, de-cat, and exhaust will see boost raise to 18psi, and power around 380bhp

ps.... i made 480bhp at 1.4bar, aprox 21 psi

With big dustbin hybrids, uprated fueling etc.... and went like shit of a teflon shovel

Whats all that in English please i have NO clue about turbos/boost etc
If i went to look at one i wouldn't have a clue what i was looking at.
I think i need to read up on them because i don't know anything about UK specs and Jap specs etc.

ho-hum

400bhp is very easy to reach

engine code for the 3.0 twin turbo in the MKIV supra is 2JZ-GTE, or also JZ80
