Same with my instructor... Thank fook there was never a chance in the proper test
You should have gone through emergency stopping with your instructor, fair do's it might be a rare occurrence in exams but not something worth leaving to chance...

they will just tell you to pull over, and then pull out again to make sure you check all of your blind spots. they did this to me 3 times on my test to try and catch me out.

i failed twice mate, know how you feel, secodn time felt like decking the examiner coz his reasons for failing were bollox such as "lost the rear end on a rounabout" never mind, all you can do is re-book and get plenty of practice in inbetween, best of luck for next time

Not checking blind spots is a stupid thing to fail on
i know it was stupid, but i know for next time now.My instructor never even went through the emergency stop with me because " its very rare they test you on it" he should of told me anyway.I never got the impression an emergency stop had to be so quick. Now i know.
Key word there somewhere
I passed first tiume with 5 miors and I did my emergency stop
I passed first time with 7 minors.. but din hav to do my emegency stop; i cud do it tho, practiced it loads

Got 3 majors for silly things
1.going 43 in a 60.
2. stopping too slowly on an emergency break
3.not doing blind spot checks.
Did everything else down to a tea, apart from just barely cutting a corner( and i mean barely) minior for that, and a few other minors for extremely MINOR things.
Very disapointed in myself though.Nothing worse than having a car, but not being able to drive it
Plus thats £40 quid down the drain.
lol, the pig said to be afderwards "have you got a sister?" i answed yes. "if your sister ran out in front then we would of gone stright into her as you did not break fast enough" blah blah blah.Of course i would have broke harder, its just i did not wont to over do it on my test and lock the wheels.Wot a tit.Goverment must make loads of doh from this.
I was under the impression the speed limit for a learner and "R" driver was 45mph anyway regardless of what speed limit is on the road (Unless of course your in a 30 or 40 zone!)
Did i miss something in the news since i got my test 7 years ago?!
