I'm glad my old bus hasn't been overlooked
But if there were 5 or 10 better cars I would want them there instead, which is why I think its important for people to justify their places!

Will AndyH's corsa even have enough ooomph to compete with the rest of you?
This is on mind too However, I do have getting on for 250bhp per tonne and with the close ratio box, it's quicker once on the move than the 1/4 miles times would suggest. Having said that, I haven't ruled out slicks and a sniff of laughing gas for an event such as this

That's from my opinion as a marshall.
im sorry but i completely agree with this guy
CorsaSport doesnt stand a chance, i think i can safley say this aswell , even putting my car against half of them that compete and id come last so theres no one on here that really has a chance

i doubt cs would come dead last, but they certainly arnt going to win anything. Look at the times from last year-
1. 1/4m Class Winner FWD – ANDY NICHOLLS AET TURBOS 12.08s 121MPH
2. 1/4m Class Winner RWD- DEE IRELAND CALDER RACING 10.84s 130MPH
3. 1/4m Class Winner 4WD- CLIVE REDDON RC DEVELOPMENTS 10.32s 134MPH
4. Handling -Class Winner FWD- JIM BASFORD 42.37s
5. Handling -Class Winner RWD- STEVE WILSON 39.33s
6. Handling -Class Winner 4WD- JASON HULBERT 37.43s
7. Top Speed Class Winner FWD- ANDY ROBINSON 171.8MPH
8. Top Speed Class Winner RWD- DEE IRELAND CALDER RACING 201.3MPH
9. Top Speed Class Winner 4WD-ROCKET RONNIE 192.4MPH
no doubt it would be a top day out tho

i can not see why corsasport wouldent stand a chance ? what people are missing is we are FWD class.
i never said we would win a class i said we would be a good team, and would do well over all
standard RX can do 14.6 1/4 some of the corsas can hit 13's
Luckys did 13.1-13.2 if we can shave a bit of that, any FWD car in the 12's is quick and some of the corsa are not far off
the list u have posted Adam are for the top of there classed, we are going as a team rather then just 1 quick car.

No i agree there are some fast corsa out there , but enough to make a FULL team and compete against the other teams?

we have atleast 3 high powered LET's that i know of, a few underground projects which, to my knowledge will be pushing well over 330bhp, but i dont think my opinions count for much as i'm only 1 of over 14k members
generally we would get hammered, but would be good to say we atleast turned up

too much paperwork talk flying about, get it fucked off, ignore the bollocks on paper and just have a go. too many people rely on stats, "well my mates brothers dogs cousins says this and says that"
a good driver will get the best out of any vehicle/engine i've licked lotsa 320bhp scoobies at lincoln purely because the person who is sat behind the wheel isnt that good, who knwos until it happens, just take a team and if we come last, then we come last, go for a beer after and your lesson is learnt

Have you got the turbo on and working?
Will AndyH's corsa even have enough ooomph to compete with the rest of you?
the Turbo is being fitting over Winter if that fails i have some £££ for get some throttle bodys, i have had a go and a play about with the turbo, but had a few heat problems but dident really spend alot of time on it.
as for AndyH i dont see why not, but i do know what u mean. he has done low 14's before hes had a few bits and bobs done, and 13 - 14 are good for a FWD car, but andys should handle really well giving us some added points on that part of the day where mine doesnt handle very well, but will be good top end, so all in all should even itself out and put a good over all team effort in.

A run of 14s flat would have placed you 24th (out of 32 runners in the FWD class) at TOTB3; 150mph top-speed would have seen you placed 60th (overall). Have a look at the results on the following page, to see what you have to compete against:
