The Mk5 Astra Turbo is like 18k from what i remember of my conversation at Vauxhall a few weeks ago.
Thing is, would a factory corsa 2.0 turbo keep up with a converted corsa b 2.0 Turbo?? I reckon theyd be best off trying to squeeze over 200bhp from it then it'd be well worth the laff!! Only problem may arise with traction. but thats a whole other story.......................................

The people that would have bought the car a year or so ago have all moved on to CTRs or Mk4 Astras.
It'd be a nice car to launch, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a disaster. The press will be ready to pick faults with it and it'll need to tick all the right boxes when compared to the 182, CTR, Ibiza FR/Cupra/Cupra-R/whatever, Festa ST/RS.

Well TBH mate I think it's gonna happen as I overheard something similar mentioned on the Vauxhall stand at the Motor show Live

Lets be realistic here. Its not gonna happen.
Making a new model in the range isnt an Afternoon job for the design department. to make it appeal to the market it needs to, it would need to have bigger wheels, better brakes, uprated suspension, a bodykit, leather seats etc for it to competitive.
Developing this kind of stuff doesnt come cheap, as what your effectively doing is re-designing a drive train, for a niche market vehicle. For this to be feasible you'd need to be selling the car for a long time to re-couperate the costs of the design/production set up.
Knocking out a few end of production cars with specialist parts made up, isnt going to make much money... if any at all. I've been to enough lectures on this subject to know the score .
