so would the K04 turbo (which i cna get from work i think) be better stu ?

The 1.8T was fitted with a low pressure turbo, hence the low down kick.

much better, it kicks slightly later and is a fair bit bigger than a K03

and hence it reaches its limit at about 225 - 230bhp

erm, dunno bout VW cars. maybe vibrio could shed some light on this, sure he would know if any VW cars came with K04
