mate - if u are planning to comvert Xvid/Divx to DVD-R then you will need a few tools Give me a shout! I think I have a guide somewhere that is simple enough to follow.

Ive always had lite on drives and never had one problem with them - they are quality a damn site better than pioqueer

would agree wi ya for cd's but disagree wi ya about dvd's.

P4UL - you're OK - lite on are mint.
I got DVD writer and seperate CD writer and had no trouble wi any. ever

Pioneer 107D... very good.

Oh, and don't buy Datawrite Classic Yellows they suck (and fade over time :mad...

Best discs I've used are the Ritek 'RiDisc' Grade A's Got them from www.svp.co.uk (£12 odd for 25)... They are the purple and silver discs (DVD-R)...

Nec 2500A, with latest patched firmware will burn most 4x discs at 8x. Burns datawrite yellows at 6x.

always go for "ritek" dye blanks paulo. they are just as cheap as shite discs these days and you will have no problems with them.

tim is right about the datawrite yellow discs. they are total wank so dont waste your money on them. i got about 30 sat in my drawer which i just cant be arsed to used cos i always get errors with them
