im buying a non turbo mr2 this september hopefully, what is the difference with insurance between the turbo then?

yep.. over the years thats what it worked out at..stupid huh! he just needed cash quick so settled for 2K cash to buy his corsa sport of his wifes brother.. he's got a corsa now and wants to do the 2.0 litre conversion..

he had ..two new engines put in as they kept blowing..18" wheels..full respray..HKS 7" back box cost £1.5k for that alone..blitz suspension £2K...a 70 mph blow out (cost a bit )lol..super sequencial blow off valve... the list goes on.. was a lovely car though.. me and my bro are workin on my corsa at the minute so watch this space..get it back from bodyshop on wed pm.. woohoo cant wait

so they about 245 standard

you say it has a hks back box (not even full exhaust)
and a super senqu BOV

'the list goes on'

ya gunna need one hell of a list to get to 400 bhp

with them mods ya looking at about 265-270 (IF THAT)

i take it it has had uprated pistons etc, as the standard 3SGTE engine would not handle 400bhp on its stock internals

A MoTeC M4 Pro ecu is used to control the engine as well as Launch control, Anti Lag, ERL water injection and boost control , Just completly build brand new engine full group A spec ,86.0mm oversize acralite forge pistons from TTE ,TTE steel crank con-rods and group A main and big end bearing's C/W 10mm group A head bolts ,850cc blitz side feed injectors in standard fuel rail ,1.2mm blitz head gasket with 272 HKS cam shaft's HKS Vernier cam pulleys with a full polish and ported head STAGE 3 c/w port match , Blitz nur spec r exhaust system with a custom 3 " fensport elbow,and front pipe,blitz induction filter with blitz recirculating dump valve,exedy twin plate cermatalic clutch c/w lightened flywheel , garett gt28 ball bearing turbo,have ran 2.3 bar,daily run at 2.1 bar @ now 430bhp

must have wanted a reeeeeely quick sale

yep a load done on the engine obviously..but im not sure what he had done to it to be honest.. just know it was a jap inport and the engine had been tuned before he got it.. the car was full of midnight racing gear also..so its possible it was an ex street racing car..when the engines were rebuilt i think he had them rebuilt to match what the car had previously...
Adam B seems to know his stuff.. probably the same sort of spec.. yeah the sale was quick cos he thought the car was just about to die on him again..
