S16 doesn't have the XSI engine, XSI engine is based on the GTI lump whereas the s16 is based on the old M1-16 engines. S16 makes around 155bhp, XSI 16v around 135bhp

I'm not a fanatic of anything french really.....shite build quality and reliability. Back to vauxhall, or go German at my next oportunity, but it will be Derv.

lol, u gotta love french build quality, it gives them ermmmm character 
touch wood mine has been 100% relaible bar water in rear cluster but I'm just over 40k now so should imagine some problems will start appearing soon 
Next car will be something more refined, had a drive in my mums MG ZR the other day and even that is much more refined and comfortable than my GTI, slow as hell though
