abt do a 235 bhp chip for the audi a3 1.8t
Erm, yeah, okay........
SOrry, but that is way wrong. Chipping an A3 1.8 turbo will not boost it to 235 bhp. A3 1.8 t sport is 150 bhp as standard, A3 1.8 t quattro is 180 bhp, no way just a chip will make 235 bhp. My mate has an AmD chip and is only running 200 bhp, otteninger (sp) 205 bhp, Superchip, 200bhp none get anywhere near. Anyway, get an A3, nice refined car and with good mods, nice and quick
ok, so you go to http://www.abt-sportsline.de then go to the audi a3 engine tuning section and look, they do you engine management systems, one boosts too 193 bhp the other boosts too 235 bhp, it obviously cranks the boost up a fair notch. i bet there is hardly any difference between the 150 and 180 turbo other than management anyway.
vibrio, found a 160 bhp chip for the 110 bhp tdi seems like a better option to me.
yes i did go to that site and i think you will find its not a chip that gives it that power, its an upgraded turbo, intercooler, turbo intake pipe and ecu at a cost of 5000 quid.

the 130 has only been out a couple of years, im stretching the budget at 6k really.
i would chip the 115 which makes it 161 bhp plus 388nm of torque

did'nt actully know that, although chipiing a 115 up to 161 must be tempting

yep, just imagine the torque, woohoo. u can also get better intercoolers, modify the fuel pump too 11mm not 10mm watever that does gotta look into it more, water injection and exhaust manifold on these engines, oh apparently they love filters and zoorsts too

true, but as the rev limiter is at 4600 rpm bhp is really insignificant. its only an 8v lump dont forget

185 bhp from the 130, not bad at all and at a good price, AmD are well respected in VAG tuning aswell and best still it gets its own warranty

trouble is the leon is in insurance grp 16, and im only 21 so ill get totally raped if i could get insured atall.
running costs is my main sway at the mo, the bora tdi does like 56 mpg whereas the audi 1.8t does 32 and thats a huge difference.

erm, A3 keeping with uk impreza? cant see that without a modified turbo. Jabbasport are also good, but AmD, cant fault them. They have won numerous awards for their tuning and price wise are very respectable too. If you want chips, here are the best do a search for their sites
AmD
APR
Jabbasport
Oettinger (not sure on spelling)
avoid REVO, loads of problems with their direct port tuning. If in doubt, have a look at this website there is a big debate on revo http://www.audi-sport.net/ The people on there are very helpful and know their stuff.
