Also just won a local Z20LET in bits in evay for £150

Plan is to use the X20xev inlet and cam on it to make a tasty 280-300bhp standard internals LET

Carbs aren't much whack for the money normally but you should get good gains with the cams it's got in it, I'd whip cam cover off and check the numbers on em too double check what profile they are etc loads of re profiled shit ones around

Totally get why you bought it I did the same when I was building my cav, my daily was a vec c diesel and wanted a quick car but didn't wanna rush cav so bought a 420bhp scooby then when the cav got close to being done sold it and bought a diesel Beemer so I'd appreciate the cav lol

So did a lot tonight

So got the front arch on drivers side off

The join to crossmember (looks bad but its solid)

Then some snaps of in the arch - all good

Wings arent too bad either

Then the passenger side - again all good

Then moved onto the drivers side rear

Removed the arch and poked at the hole i found on Sunday - easy fix

Then a nice hole up the filler neck - again easy fix

Then i found a weird bit poking out so pulled it

Yes - someone had stuffed a cloth in the hole (

tom)

These show the rust on the arch itself - this side is solid so wont need welding - just a dress up and bodge

Then onto the other side which i knew needed an arch repair

Arch off - nasty

Another hole in the inner wheel arch - couldnt work out what was inside

Then got the bumper off
Nice small hole - again easy fix

Drivers side all good

Then i discovered the mystery panel - better than a cloth i supose - never the less

Thankfully the sills are easy to sort

Then found it had a good spare, not of any use like as the cars 5 stud

Looks bad but actually solid

Looking sorry for itself

The reason the pass side is so shit - toms left shit repairs - plates over rust

Drivers arch - not too shabby

The floor itself is pretty good

Little patch needed

Other side is worse but not the end of the world

Bit in the front corner

So floor itself is ok - all sound deadenning off but still going to weld the circles

Bits all over

Did find some cash though(well not the note)

Treat myself

Next up - cutting and dressing and making home brew repair panels

, the gsi is cool but rust looks quite bad do you plan keeping it once you've done the black one ?

Also do you know the name of those floor matts that came in the Gsi?

Might come to PVS this year , my car will look better than last year by then
