ive been offered an xe actually, but i will be 18 in feb so insurance will really kill me, im probs gonna buy a stand and rebuild it over the year, probs uprating some of the parts as i go

I paid 920 all in for a running conversion, 400 quid for the engine and exhaust off pickles. the rest was labour, mounts, CV's and few other little bits So far only had pas problems, where i was driving like a tit and melted a pipe and snapped a mount

thats not bad, i would look into sourcing a performance exhaust with it, new cv's, new belts etc, magnecor leads, powdercoated cam cover , perhaps some forged pistons but all in all a fairly decent standard(ish) xe with a buit more bite than usual, that touch wood can be dropped straight in

wouldnt bother with leads to be honest mate, standard ones are more than capable. rest sounds good though
