Thing is, you're a bit like a guy at work. He doesn't really get it either.
To some people (me and chris) just lapping round and round on a time trial is fun! So the fact you can do this with all new physics, graphics, etc is an extra bonus. Then throw in 24 hour night / day cycles, weather and of course the usual money / mods structure and a bit of online play and it should be immense.
The fact you drive a lexus suggests to me that you don't really enjoy driving in general  so a game which lets you drive round and round in circles probably won't excite you much.

Chris, I'm a bit concerned about my g25. I've not used it for ages... the only person who has is my young cousin a few times.
It's now really notchy when turning it ...  Don't tell me yours is really smooth.

you tried it on lfs?
have you gone into main options and set everything up as profesional? and taken all the assists off?

also set force feedback to 10, it might feel too much to start with but you get the hang of it and you can actually feel what the car is doing

interior in GT5 is of much higher quality
exterior of gt5 is a bit better, i thought the exteriors on forza were not that bad
If forza concentrtated on just a few "premium" cars though, rather than doing interirors for all cars

that argument wouldnt stand, the fact is they didnt. and anyway hour just taking about car models there, when one talks about graphics you are talking about a number of aspects, lighting, reflections, enviroment mapping, bump mapping, anti aliasing, antistrophic filtering ... all these things make up 'graphics'
the forza models are by no means shit, but gt5's

Really for that fact alone, it's impossible to compare the game. If Team10 concentrated on froza 5 for 7 years i'd hope it to be better than GT5

that is definately 100% not true, when that came out there was a lot of technical talk on the forums about both games, the backgrounds of prologue are naff compared to f3, f3 backdrops are fully rendered where prologue is essentially a flat bmp
the track textures and objects are also not as good as f3
the cars have lower poly counts then f3, and f3 has better hdr lighting
even the prologue fans at the time admitted this and there counter argument was always gt5

and as for the physics, any one who says forza's physics engine is more true to life than gran turismos just doesnt have a clue.
