Mobby, for a show you need public liability insurance (and other types no doubt), Car shows are included in that, "cruises" would also fall in that bracket, by "cruises" I hope you mean the kind of car meet attended by chavs on a local retail park / drive-thru enjoyed by chimps in neon'd up shitheaps and who put oil down to do burn-outs - these are "unoffical" cruises and won't have the correct insurances and they get broken up by the police, you could argue that shows like Donny or even something like Trax are also "cruises" - the difference between them is that they are "official" in as much as they will have the relevent insurances and such, this is why you don't see the police breaking up Trax or PVS year after year - because they are legal and organised, a group of fuckwits doing burnouts in public outside your local MFI or PC World on a friday night isn't.
There is a massive massive difference
"Cruises" are as legal as the people that organise them want them to be / can afford them to be / can be bothered to make them - it's wrong to say all cruises are legal / illegal.
