Would this bike stand be a complete waste of cash?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOME-MECHANIC-FOLDING-BIKE-CYCLE-REPAIR-STAND-/150544733103?pt=UK_Spots_Leisure_Cycling_Tools_RepairKits&hash=item230d2a53af

Would mainly be used as a stand for cleaning it and doing the odd bit of work to the bike. Or is it going to be complete dog turd? Ideally dont want to spend hundreds on it.

It'll be alright Doug. Might just be a bit shite when you start putting pressure on it taking off pedals, bottom brackets and cranks.

Probably one of the best investments you can make if you do any sort of work/maintenance on your bike. Makes everything so much easier, can't vouch for that one though. Condiser how heavy you bike is - mine is a bit of a heavy weight and I think some cheaper stands would struggle keeping it in certain positions. I have this one which I'd recommend: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/tools/cycling-tools/repair-stands-and-workstands/product/review-xtools-workshop-prep-stand-pro-10-9175

Is the Recon Silver an air shock? I think it is. If so it looks a good spec from my basic knowledge.

See how fast you can sprint on a flat bit of road Nic. Most I've managed is 32mph but thought my knees were gonna explode
