No, but then again this has nothing to do with that so its a pointless point. You may aswell of said a terrorist making nuclear weapons and providing them to Iran or somewhere - about as pointless as your point.
Its not pointless, Shops supply alcohol, Drug dealers supply drugs.
If you cant blame shops for selling booze to fuel a riot then you cant blame a drug dealer for supplying drugs that killed a teen.
Either of the two have indirectly commited a crime.

One happened last night, one didnt - therefore its pointless.
Shops also sold petrol and matches yesterday - how many people got set on fire?
Shops also sold vast quantities of non-prescription drugs - how many people OD'd last night?
etc.
etc.
It boils down to a section of Rangers fans being cunts - drunk or not - and causing a shit load of trouble and damage. Nothing can excuse or condone this.

But the thing is, All of this did happen last night and someone is the root cause of it.
Manchester is moaning about how drunk and disorderly 'Rangers fans' were yet they all 'Welcomed Glasgow with open arms' and the pubs had 'watch the big game here' signs outside etc. If they didnt want people to drink on the scale they did then they shouldnt have allowed it.
One pub even told everyone to stop shouting or we were out? How can a pub who invites people to watch a 'The BIG One' tell people to calm down.
Seems like alot of back pedaling on the Manchester's half through the media. Saying the werent ready for the scale of crowds there were, When in reality they put up the screens to cater for the crowds that was expected.
Its a lack of organisation and security on the authorities behalf.
BUT, That aside, The riot's werent needed in any form and proved nothing although if a city choses to host a game and put up screens they should be ready for trouble.

The root cause of it are the guys who decided to use the knife on a russian fan. Or throw a bottle at someone. Or punch another person in the street. Thats where the blame begins and ends.
I actually dont think 'Manchester' has any problem with drunk fans, infact Im certain they expected it as they arent strangers to hosting big games and events. What they do have problems with is the trouble that happened - and this doesnt matter if it was down to drink or just pure spastication.

No it's down to people being unable/not wanting to control themselves. There are large numbers of people out drinking all day every bank holiday and large amounts of alcohol available at every music festival. I can't remember the last time one of those events ended with people attacking riot Police en mass! It's down to the mentality of the Rangers fans involved nothing else.

They didnt fuel them with alcohol, the fans bought it and chose to drink it. Its impossible to not sell drink, as they would of brought it with them on the trains and coaches (as they probably did anyway) - and imagine the trouble trying to take a drink off a Scot
Police were at the train stations not allowing people onboard with drink, Mank made £20M in takings from the wed/Thurs..............hmmmm :\ Lil bit of mess isnt much to deal with is it.

Exactly.
I find it comical how people are actually trying to find ways to excuse this

I can't believe people are actually trying to divert the blame away from the Rangers fans, it had nothing to do with anyone else, it was simply a small minority of fans being utter wankers and spoiling the whole occasion for the majority

Im sure the innocanets hit by bottles, or getting caught in the way or rioting fans, or the Russian who was tabbed, or the police who got hurt during all of this is a fairly big thing for them to deal with.

This is the crux of the problem and nothing else.

Yes, And these people are also hated in Glasgow for simply being arseholes. I watched a video of a Rangers fan being hit by another Rangers fan, Thats what we're dealing with but everyone is saying its Rangers' fault that it happened and Rangers' fans are this and there that, Its a small ammount that caused it.
Now alot are back peddaling saying they dont condone drinking yet we saw several mobile stalls selling drink which were inside the closed of area which would have only been there through the councils permission....How thats not condoning it i dont know.

Wow, I thought you'd be defending them seeing as everyone else is blaming them.

I dont think it was completely aimed at you although he did quote you.
Earlier on people were saying there would have been no trouble if it was Celtic and so on...Which is a load of shit.

It might be, it might not be. Who knows as another group of fans may well of acted differently, on a different day with different circumstances.

Im not saying it would have definetley have been better, But i think and football fans that travelled to watch a game that was promised to be on a large screen would be just as angry if it had 'broken down'.
I reckon if the game was played on that screen then i reckon no riot would have been started through anger.

If fans cant control themselves after drinking then they shouldnt drink. You cant blame the people who have it for sale.
No it isn't right, but unfortunately thats what alcohol/drugs do to people when they go past their being sensible limit and get blind steaming drunk.
Emotions and alcohol unfortunately can ruin a good atmosphere.

With the event being so easy to get to via car/bus/train alot of people who werent even rangers fans would have travelled to it. The like of football holigans or just idiots wanting to cause trouble, it wasnt solely rangers fans causing trouble, just idiots in general.

Ive been to many big games though where vast amounts of drink have been drunk and no touble has happened - it doesnt always go hand in hand.

Football + alcohol + emotions + any stadium/city in the world... there is going to be trouble.
Unfortunately this time, a very select few (compared to how many were there) spoilt it for Rangers fans everywhere.
We are all tarred with their stupidity now...
