As Ive said on one of the other pages...constrictor snakes only kill (via constricting) what they can eat. So if you are too big then it just wont bother and would strike you and bite you (not poinsonous though).

Also, they are easy to pull off via the head or tail if they start constricting, its only if you are alone and it gets round your arms that your in trouble.

That's very interesting Cosmo.

So you can literally unwind one from a victim in mid attack from either end then?

I always thought it was curtains once one of those big swines had you.

their strength comes from being wrapped around then gradually tightening, so at the ends they can be un-rolled off you fairly easily. Obviously if they are around your arms you cant which is why holding them when alone isnt a wise idea!

see, here on CS we learn something new everyday!

I didnt know until not long back, but have been looking at getting snake or lizard to go in the area under my 5ft aquarium so was researching the different types, and all the safety that goes with them.

If it constricts your neck is that not strangulation?

Potato,Patato (sp lol) to me

my point was someone who has a BTEC in the subject and apparently seems to knwo it all, should surely use correct termonolgy....as explained ^^^

thats totally different to constricting her then. Their bite cant kill (well its not poinsonous anyway) not not sure why it took 6 to pull it off her.

yeah, Ive been bitten by a small snake (about 2-3ft) and that hurt like hell, so a big fucker must really hurt.

It was probably due to the weight that it needed that many people, as the actualy force need to start unwinding it once its constricitng isnt that much.

True but if something was constricting me, I would most likey panic. Its like when people say punch a shark on the nose.

Its good in theory.

and snakes bites can be deadly if they are not vemous due to some nasty bacteria in there mouths, same with them big dragon things.

To be fair this theard has got out of hand.
