Point I was trying to make is that with some players theres just too much history??

I couldn't accept Rooney as an Arsenal player for example (not that it will ever happen). He's been at united too long and had too much of an effect against Arsenal. It doesn't matter how good the guy is. I just couldn't accept him as an Arsenal player. Same with Gallas. He was a top quality defender when we got him but I couldn't ever fully accept him after he'd been at Chelski so long.

Maybe its just a personal thing? Becks for instance I could accept anyday as I love the guy lol.

This is why I was suprised to see so many RVP shirts. Would have thought alot of utd fans would be a bit unsure about it this early. Infact alot of Utd fans I know are finding it strange seeing RVP at United and unsure if it was a sensible bit of business by Fergie.

Would you cheer if Rooney scored a goal in an Arsenal shirt?

I'd cheer, but i'd feel dirty.

In other words you would accept him.

No. Theres a difference. I'd cheer the shirt and the team goal, not the player.

Never really wished an injury on any player before but I want to see RVP with his leg snapped, bones hanging out, tendons ripped and quivering, and claret everywhere.

I'm trying to find a home shirt from 2 seasons ago, they only have really small or Cosmo XXL size.

I could be tempted by away shirt.
