In all honesty I am very embarassed to admit that I am a Rangers fan , after seeing what has happened in Manchester. The behaviour of the individuals was disgusting and I hope justice is brought to them.
To say the likes of what Ive read in this thread , going along the lines of "riot police egged them on etc" is a lot of shite. The riot poilce obviously did not want to go out last night and risk their lifes to a bunch of nil minded thugs. Anyone who tries to defend the fans is as braindead as they are.
The reputation of a Glasgow Rangers fan will have a large dent in it for a long while to come.

So did you take the ultimate risk and go out in a pair of jeans/trousers then?

From what I have heard from our local news, there were 200+ thousand Rangers fans (from all different places, not just Scotland), there were about 200 causing the trouble and approximately 40 arrests.
Those 200 should be ashamed of themselves, given the club and the rest of the decent supporters a bad name.
When I went to Glasgow to see them, I had an amazing experience and witnessed a very friendly lot who you could see loved their football with a passion. None of the violence and vandalism that was seen last night.
A real shame those few have let everyone else down
As for Manchester whining about it all now, what do you expect when you want to host a huge match, fuel 200 thousand people with alcohol all day...

They didnt fuel them with alcohol, the fans bought it and chose to drink it. Its impossible to not sell drink, as they would of brought it with them on the trains and coaches (as they probably did anyway) - and imagine the trouble trying to take a drink off a Scot

Yeah I know it was made available, shops/bars/stalls, etc. but as said it was pointless trying to stop it as they would of just bought their own. You CANNOT blame the fact alcohol was available for the problem.

Well even without football, how many times have you witnessed fighting after alcohol sessions in town?
It happens...

It doesnt mean its right though does it?
If fans cant control themselves after drinking then they shouldnt drink. You cant blame the people who have it for sale.

No, but then again this has nothing to do with that so its a pointless point. You may aswell of said a terrorist making nuclear weapons and providing them to Iran or somewhere - about as pointless as your point.
