one shocker off

really wish i had a 27 mil spanner. mole grips and 27mil socket will have to do.

new bearing gets introduced to to where it will live

bearing out of top mount. no pics after that as it was dark. but all back together. car now no longer pulls violenty across the road. to say im happy is, well, true. can now get the mapping finished as i can smash the throttle down flat out to the limiter on the road without getting dragged all over the place. cool.

they are from rally design i believe. they were on the gaz shockers when i got them from olsrey. the bearing i got was from rally design and it fits nice.

my old top mounts were from ebay. i would imagine they are the same though.

slick got some parts for the prelude turbo. also pictured is vxr james's smart new shoe from asda. he does have 2, not just 1 of them in case anyone wondered. flash they are.

manual boost controller and 3 bar map sensor.

boost controller fitted

add some petrol to remove the orange fill me up light

then the slick got down with some mapping using some program he found on the internet. going to finish it off one night in the week he is.

was out smashing the throttle down in the corsa so johnny could finish the top end of the map. came across an unexpected problem

snapped the bottom part of the gearstick off while changing gear. never done that before.

different indeed. vxr james who owns a vxr and is called james said he had a corsa internal linkage device at his house so went and got it. while there i seen something i hadnt seen in a long time.

rare sighting of his nova.

returned with one linkage to find johnny had decide to fix the old bit just incase

kept it as a spare seen as vxr james was kind enough to loan me the parts i needed to get home.

added an under car neon, although i dont think the pic shows it up too well.

had a lot of play in the linkage side to side when trying to get 5th and 6th so bolts and washers placed like so to eliminate it and it works a treat. i swear getting the gears with a std linkage was far better than using an mtec one. never mind.

vxr james seen a ufo maybe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVBazHNtGFI

i smashed some throttle down. no idea what i thought i was doing in 2nd gear. no matter.
