I laughingly told him to fuck off because I think he's talking bollocks, not going to fall out with the guy over it, just don't think that particular post has much merit.

But yeah the site is fucked because I laughed once while telling someone my thoughts on their post.

Ultimately anyone who wants to leave may do so and anyone who wants to join will make their own decision. Nothing to do with whether I drop the diplomacy to make a point.

Interestingly whitter is always keen to point out how badly run the site is, yet always seems to be here

fuck off

sums this site up tbh that reply.

Great way to lead by example

And then you wonder why Jim etc spam threads and people just can't be arsed adding value

What is clear is that through people attitudes this site is running out of users who add value to the site and for guests reading this thread I would question why they would consider joining such a forum

Why would somebody who wants to know about owning a Corsa go on a thread about owning an Evo?

How you look at things has a lot to be desired

I did not once state that your one reply is the sole reason that the site is in the state its in - unless you can prove otherwise

However as the owner and developer of this forum I think you need to lead by example and establish some rules

Jim spams because he has attention issues, don't give me the credit for that

What value would you otherwise be adding?

People saw my posts and said right I'm not going to add value now? Really.

Think that's the first time I've ever told anyone to fuck off anyway, how far back have you been taking notes?

not always just certain times when a thread that seemed to be genuine gets ruined for various reasons

personally i stand by my statement, i think people who have actually owned the car and run it are in a far better position to comment then those that have not? whats wrong with that?

it would be like me claiming to know more about running a puma then ian or steve, fact is i never have so i would know nothing about it.

Examples?

Because an Evo uses less fuel than my tow car, and costs less to tax than the one I just use for going on dates, and costs less to do a full service than the one I rescued from the scrappy?

Seriously quote where my posts have done anything at all to dictate the direction of the site.

In fact tell me properly about Jim's motives as you seem to be the authority on it.

And who are these people who made these decisions?

Poppycock.

Absolutely but then these people should offer constructive views on ownership rather than posting a load of generalised internet wish wash about affordability?

Agree threads get ruined - disagree on your reasoning for it.

there were many upon many constructive posts, in fact the people who posted stupid stuff were the people constantly trying to pick up on thegsi's statement, that in fact had less help then anything.

no worries - if you think I'm the authority over Jim posts then there is nothing left to say on this thread

Leave you to it

I'll give you some of that but really, anyone in the world can add up the cost of a car.

You also would know about running any other car, if I asked you how much to commute in a Puma you would give me a ball park, if I said track it, the same, it's not so difficult to work out.

All I did was work it out, ask whether you absolutely needed to go to specialists and suggest that it's comparable to other cars.

None of what I did was difficult?

Ian - what's the point. Its my opinion and I stand by it. You can chose to take it on board or discount it. end of the day thats your decision and either way it has no real affect on me.

You seem to know more about it as you stated its attention seeking. I haven't a clue why he posts what he does. But the fact is, he gets away with it

Anyway not arguing over it. If you wish to continue over u2u or email then i am happy with that rather than filling a thread with off topic conversation - which i will happily admit I played a part in

If I went into Curries and asked about the energy rating on a fridge & the guy said 'if you need to know the consumption then you cant afford it mate' i'd full on stick the nut on him....ken!?

He's the expert he should use his wisdom to help others instead of being a bawheed & making useless sweeping statements.

This is similar, thats all!!?

Think you're probably missing the amount of time that goes in to me worrying about the direction the site is going on, who is saying what, who is a troll, who is going to stay or leave, who is paying money, who is going to shows.

So yeah, I'm "on board" with the Jim comment. Perhaps I'm not clear what you can tell me that I don't already know, or what me telling Mike to fuck off has to do with it.

You need to do more than that.

I do buy the point and experience is good, I just don't think its necessary to have an opinion.

In fact I've been reading a certain Ferrari thread just now and that doesn't have too many owners as I'm aware.
