Wasn't helping them before i met him though 
He spoke to me when i opened the door to the room, then i walked upstairs and he started going for me the ugly mug.

this happened to me and i died so got to reload, i reckon there are some glitches in this game as i never helped him, but it unlocked that i did find some girl

Yeah i went upstairs, didnt see his traps until i had killed him and went back downstairs and got caught by loads and crippled legs

I had him, got bored of him so send him packing but he is useful. Kills things with his laser and the red markers on ya compass come up when ya nowhere near the enemy.

ive kept him as hes handy .. think you can offload stuff into his backpack too? which could be usefull. im trying to get power armour atm so doing missions for the brotherhood .. got me going all over the place.

all i do is talk to everyone i can, get as many quests as i can then review each and decide which i want to do, some you get cancel some others out or if you take a quest and do it it might stop you getting something later on so im looking at them all and seeing which would be best.
i just wanna go home and get my fix lol i couldnt play it yesterday i had to play monopoly with the missis...

I attacked and killed the legion in Nipton, got a chainsaw thing from the lead guy, but now they send assasins after me everynow and again

I think you can get any of your companions to carry stuff, I have my half robotic dog carrying my rocket launcher and flame thrower.
Finding those massive wasp/fly things a pain in the arse and pretty hard.
Im enjoying it but cant help feel a little bit dissapointed that this is pretty much exactly the same game as fallout 3, even the main story is pretty much the same. They dont seem to have really added anything.
