graphics. i'm not gonna lie. there pretty wank. there good compared to what else is out on teh xbox. but its not at gthd level. i'm being completely honest here. for a simulator. i expect it to look like one. not bright colourful vibrate visuals. flat grass and cartoony looking cars. but on the flip side, it runs very smoothly which is what you want for a racing game.

sound is excellent and how the cars handle is very good. i'm impressed with the way it drifts and slides around. i bit difficult to judge at first. but i like games with learning curves

damage is alright, nothing we haven't seen before

overall it looks like an arcade racer. but drives like a simulator. was kinda hoping for customizing the cars but you can't have everything.

7/10

rus, the final version will have customiation - just like FM1. And the damage is limited to cosmetic within the demo.
And i wouldn't say the graphics are wank, just not as good as everyone was talking about - but they had to turn off anti-aliasing as they wanted the game to run at a constant 60fps for smoothness, which is fair enough. But i would have thought the xbox would have been powerful enough to cope with a anti-aliasing, obviously not.

Anyways, we'll have to wait until the final release as they could still do some changes

maybe, but they've already stated that they haven't used anti-aliasing and using FM1 lighting to keep the fps at a constant 60.

Im still curious to why they have done that, as i doubt that they are maxing out all of three cores on the 360 - if they are then its a bit of a worry

rus were you playing gthd at 1080p?imo on graphics terms i fail to see how gthd is better, yes gt has always had photo realistic car models but fm2 evens it out with very good car models and much better lighting/ reflections on the cars.

as i said earlier tonight i will go round my mates house who has both consoles so i can compare then both one after the other.

also what was nice was how bits of cars would litter the track after a crash and stay there, and what was just as good was how skidmarks would stay aswell and biuld up on the corners

oh and anyone with a 5.1 system, crank it up and listen to the cars go round the track while your stopped, it sounds
