The lad on the MLR told me they were 356mm but when turned up, they were 330mm. Got £100 refund and the whole set up at a serious bargain so not that bothered.

+ It wont be too bad when you need new discs as you can then go for the 356mm with not that much expense

Yeh it all depends on the kit. Some new gen KSports can't be changed as the mounts are fixed for each rotor size. We'll see anyway.

Update:

So this weekend me and my partner in crime (Sean) got round to fitting the K-Sports. Wow, what a difference. I'm still gauging a good feel for them but so far so good. Big thanks to Seb also for giving a decent bleed. Here's the brakes in place:

As mentioned above, I have now managed to close the offset on the front which I had to run to clear the Brembo's. The rubbing was getting too much to handle and I couldn't really 'drive' the car as I liked to. It is an Evo afterall and now I know how she thinks, its nice to drive the car without the front end scrubbing. I have now closed the offset down on the front from ET18 to ET33. The rear is also ET33. Will see how I get on with this:

Also, fitted a Tegiwa brake stopper. For those of you who haven't seen these, they clamp off the brake servo. This help reduce the flex and travel you would normally get without it. Highly recommended bit of kit. No more loss off energy through the brake pedal now. Not bad for £35 either!

and finally, a few pics after a nice wash today:

Thanks for reading

you cant simply swap to 356mm discs on the 330mm kit.

You need different mounts... I looked into it for the Impreza and it's more cost effective to simply sell on the 330s and buy 356 kit.

KSport spare parts prices are horrendous!

For spare discs just use APs

oh....

some general tips for the KSports.

They dont have any dust covers so get a little sticky at times. We've seen that over a couple of winters.

Any time you have the wheels off or pads out make sure all the pistons are free. I give them all a good blast with brake cleaner and work them in and out a few times.

I might look into spraying the Impreza ones... I took a grinder to them when they were 1 day old - I needed clearence

UPDATE:

Decided this week that I wanted to do something with the rear subframe, diff etc. I saw an awsome of an Evo on the internet with a totally spotless underneath. It gave me a little inspiration and also came into my OCD

The car is very clean underneath anyway but just wanted to 'spruce' it up for visual reasons really. Obviously nowhere near what some guys get stuck into but it's better than nothing.

So this is before:

Degreased and scrubbed:

Exciting stuff!

and finished!

Nice little touch that cost less then £15. PENG!
