My cars leaking a bit of oil from the sump. Tried several times to get it to seal but still no joy. Question is do i need to get this sorted before taking it onto the RR (i.e will they be pissed if my car leaks a bit of oil whilst on the run?)

My car was leaky when it was on the last RR day but it depends how bad really!

Its leaking about 5 litres of oil over a 300 mile journey. Looks bad when its been raining. Could get it fixed by a garage as im running out of ideas but that would pull the purse strings quite tight.

5 litres per 300 miles is a LOT  I was filling two or three litres per thousand or more

fix a wash basin to your sump that will stop it from leaking everywhere and you can pour it back into the engine aswell

Phoned up today and told them I'm waiting on 1 more deposit that is in the post, it's still on guys don't worry  whether my car will be ready though I don't know, Grant is mad busy at the minute so I may not have time to MOT it or anything, if the conversion is done I'll try and trailer it down.

It looks like I'll have to stump up the last of the deposit then, it may only be a tenner but it would have been good for other people to make more of an effort to get the deposits to me. I'm doing this for everyone don't forget, I'm not gaining anything for organising all of this.

If I can I certanley will, it's just cos it's on a satarday that fucked me and the boys up. We all have other comitments on a satarday but Sunday is a boys and their toys day lol.

Think im going to have to pull out. Car broke down on saturday night. Now becoming a re-occuring problem all the niggles it has. Don't really have much confidence in driving it over 200 miles.
