Just come back from lunch and was fortunate enough to see a Mk4 Golf with a G60 Rallye badge on the tailgate racing a new Limited edition Gti golf, the rallye was murdering it from wot i could see, i was trying to keep up and watch at the same time, which was hard in a 1.4i !! just wondered if anyone knows what engine there running/bhp etc. etc. hatd a wide arch kit on it too!

I think there 1.8 supercharged,around about 160 bhp.

The Golf Rallye was a limited ediion, 160BHP, 4WD, LHD only monster. Probably the Best GTi ever made.

out of the box they aint that quick, but alot can be done to them to make them go like stink!!

MK4 GTi's aren't that quick at all

Exactly as standard they are not that quick. Most cars can be made quick if modded, hell even a Corsa can be quick

They just kept goin on the dual carriageway - i couldn't keep but from wot i cud see the Rallye was leading. I need a faster car!!!!!!!!

Mk2 G60's & Rallye's are 1.8 8v supercharged with 160bhp std

there is also G60 & Rallye Limited editions these are the ones with the 1.8 16v supercharged with 210bhp

the G60 limiteds are all black & 5-door!!

the Mk4 GTi (non-turbo's) are a pile of wank, wouldnt pull you out of bed

and as for the GTi Turbo, well its got the roughly the same 0-60 as mine and its 13 years older!! they are just to heavy & lardy!
