Booked tickets for me and my brother but he can't make it and have the chance to go out with some friends back from uni so will have to give it a miss and watch later

I don't fancy going Han Solo to a full cinema screening if you know what I mean

I would rather see it with friends/family instead though, I find going to the cinema by myself isn't so much fun

For once I'll agree with generation.
No spoilers as people are going to see it soon but what a film

I'm glad that they didn't ruin it by going over the top with the SFX like they easily could of.
Stayed quite true to the originals.
9.5/10 from me aswell.

That's the episode numbers.

There's a few ways to watch them
You could watch them in release order, 456123
In story line order,123456

Or the order that seems popular for people new to the franchise , 451236

It's called the machete order.
It starts with a New Hope (IV), because if you start with Phantom Menace (I) you lose the essential shock of learning Luke's parentage in Empire Strikes Back. But also you end on a high note — so, none of the prequels. And it leads you perfectly into the new film

Essentially yor watching the 4 and 5. Having an extended flashback in 1, 2 and 3 (or just 2 and 3 because 1 was shite) then finishing on a good film that leads you into the 7th

At work i'm being told to watch the old ones first, then the newer ones. Think it would be weird to see a modern film and then watch an old film and trying to pretend they follow on.

Still not sure i want to see it, the times i've tried it just seems like every scene is either people running to a space ship, a space ship flying in space or dramatic moments of someone about to take off in a spaceship, split up by either chaos and loads of pretend laser noises or weird conversations.

I think its made up names and stuff puts me off films, the same reason i haven't watched Harry Potter or Lord of the Ring.

Don't watch it then, you don't HAVE to enjoy it, despite 95% of the populations suddenly claiming to be the worlds biggest fans.

Happens with rugby, boxing and UFC every now and again too
