 | What are people's thoughts on these? Im after a new-ish car once i get my new job and il be traveling quite a way when i come home at the w'end etc. I've notice they do around 44MPG which would seem suitable. I would be after one like this... Ibiza Bocanegra

What do people think? Any other cars you could recommend instead? Thanks as always guys.

 | I very nearly went for one on lease last year as a daily. The economy it returns for the performance is bloody impressive IMO.

Bocanegra is rare and looks good too.

Only bad points ive seen in reviews are the usual 'DSG' hampers the drivers experience, should be manual etc etc but to me that would not be an issue.

 | Jeez i didn't realise they were that quick! Especially for the return and the fact its only a 1.4! Seems a good buy but ugly IMO.

 | I seen a few of these on the road and just assumed they were a 1.2 with fancy bumpers like the Corsa limited editions.

 | I have the leon dsg and tbh much prefer it to the manual box, quicker and changing gears and with the paddles it means all grip is on the steering wheel when hooning it, only problem for me will be when i coem to get it mapped i have to limit the torque figures
  .
as for the ibiza... i quite like the looks of it, inside the one i had for a day wasnt amazing and seating posistion seems stupidly high for what i like (was a basic spec one) but still went pretty well for what it was.

id go leon though personally although i am biased

Torque doesn't need limiting. Standard but mapped boxes have been used in 24hr races and had no problems so I can see a mapped road car troubling the box.

 | Rob, I had the FR version which is only 150bhp which isnt much slower than the boc, the MPG figure of 44 is aload of crap and i only really saw 32 at the most and so do other people.

the DSG is awsome but you have to really rag the car to get the best out of them doesnt seem to be enough pull.

a few people have reported engine missfires and plenty have been rebuilt, they use alot of oil if there low millege aswell.

alot of kit cruise, climate etc i would have another 1 when seat have sorted out the problems and they make a R version.

 | I've written a database called Bocanegra.

It'll work lovely for a year, then it'll break horrendously and SEAT will claim that a dashboard is a disposable item

 | One of the technicians at my work bought one of these about 4 months ago but a Cupra, when he said he was getting one i laughed n told him there nothing special get something else etc but when i saw it and he took me for a ride god did it totally change my views and opinions on them
his is a top spec with full leather, auto lights, auto wipers etc n they have all mp3 bluetooth CD player etc, the only reason he bought a Cupra over a Boncanegra is so he could get the full leather as Boncanegras come with there own quilted interior......and my god its quick and seems to handles very well
i was very anti DSG before his but to be fair its awesome and as said you keep grip on the wheel when thrashing it at speed plus through corners
his also returns around 37mpg on a 40 mile round trip to work and back on A roads country lanes crossing through villages driven normally and on a motorway run got around 42 i think it was, as any car mpg disappears if the fun pedal is applied heavily

All cars have problems, people only go online to report negative experiences. If its new and has warrenty then it should not even be an issue.

 Like these a lot.
They look very nice, DSG on a 1.4 is some 2011 futuristic shit right there.
