well got new coilovers fitted, yesterday, old ones were that knackered they had seized and proved a complete nightmare to both me and 2 garages, i also snapped a dampening adjustment off in the coilover so best to replace them.

one box of old rusty coilovers

i didnt get any pictures of the new coilovers but here is a pic of one, you can just see the new shiny bit , also the new adjustable top mounts , the old ones were underneath for some reason

i also decided whilst having it fitted to raise the ride height as it just proved too low and made driving it a complete nightmare, was very stiff and would not go over many bumps so this was the ride height before:

and this is it after , around 30 or 40mm up then previous

now rides MUCH better and i had the geometry re-done and it really does drive and handle fantastic now (although maybe not look as good)

, so gave her a clean, products used - a mit, some shampoo and a chamois, nothing fancy:

one sneaky pic of the engine

excuse the poor phone pics, all CS criticsm welcome good or bad

Love it raising the ride height hasn't made it look any worse, still looks beautiful!

I actually think it looks better. These things aren't meant to be slammed on their arse. Function over fashion Awesome Stye mate!

Looks well better. I dont think a 'slammed' impreza looks right. I think it goes against the function of what they are actually for (very fast b road, everyday, go to work in car, chav driving through town centre, take your gran to the nursing home but drive home at 150 with your cap on backwards)

Make sure you get a towel in there when/if it snows this year. My dad's one didn't want to start for love nor money when the frost/snow got in

No worries It's things like that, and the doors refusing to open when ice goes over them (due to not having the top pillar on the door) are the little things that are fucking annoying in winter

Raising the height has made it look alot more purposeful! Were they rusty Teins on it before?

Looks much better now mate. Never liked how low it was. I'd love a WRX but the insurance/tax/running one would be a joke.

get some copper grease on those shock threads, stop them rusting up again, and will keep them adjustable
